Birthdays
Birthdays are special. Due to our District Wellness Plan, we cannot accept birthday treats. Our principal will host a monthly birthday lunch and we will recognize individual birthdays in our classrooms. Invitations to parties may be distributed at school as long as one is given to each member of the class.
Attendance
Please make sure that your child arrives by 8:25 each morning. If your child is late, he/she needs to stop by the office for a late slip.
If your child will be absent, please call the 24 hour school attendance line before 8:00 a.m. 503-259-7836.
Transportation
If there is any change in your child’s transportation, please send a email, written note, or call the office (before 2:00 p.m.)
Please provide a healthy snack for your child each day.

Homework Policy
Fourth grade students are expected to be read every night during the week. In addition to reading, there will be daily online math practice, weekly vocabulary, and occasional inquiry projects.
Reading
Academic targets are graded as follows:
“1” = Developing 0-66%
“2” = Nearly proficient 67-75%
“3” = Proficient 76-94%
“4” = Highly Proficient 95-100%
Behavior targets are graded as follows.
“R” = Rarely
“G’” = Generally
