Dear 4th grade Families,
What a wonderful two weeks it has been! September is always my favorite month because it brings such promise and excitement for a successful new school year. Meeting and interacting with your child has brought me such joy over the past few weeks, and I am so thankful for the support and warmth everyone has shown me as we all get to know one another better. This is my fifth year at West TV, and I couldn’t be happier with the community and relationships I’ve built along the way.
I wanted to reach out and say thank you to everyone who attended Back to School Night on Thursday evening. It was filled with happy greetings, important curriculum, and a big announcement. If you were unable to attend, please check in with your child after school today as they should bring home any and all information missed. As the year progresses and we celebrate your child’s growth in 4th grade, know that we are also celebrating you, and all the work and dedication you provide as a parent. We are a team, and your commitment is simply inspiring!
It is with this in mind, that I share some exciting news for which I am most thankful for this school year. My husband Daniel and I are expecting our first child! As you can all relate, these past 24 weeks have been filled with excitement, fear, overwhelming joy, and love. It is a new adventure for us, and I am appreciative for the countless examples of great parenting that surround me every day. It is knowing how much you care and support our community that makes me so happy to share this exciting news with all of you.
We are expecting our baby boy during the first week of January, so my hope is to make it to Winter Break and then return some time shortly after Spring Break. I have been diligently searching for a long-term substitute that I feel can meet my high expectations, and be the best fit for your child. With the support of Ms. Valentine, we hope to have a name for you soon. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to either of us. As we embark on the next few months, know that I truly appreciate your support and understanding, and will keep you posted along the way.
Warmly,
Courtney Hauser
