Innovation Fair
WOW! Thank you so much to everyone who joined us at our 2nd annual Innovation Fair on Friday. The students had a great time sharing their designs with family and friends, and really appreciated the added support everyone offered them. If you weren't able to make it, please be sure to watch your child's Seesaw video in which they explained the problem and solution that their invention fixed, and what type of energy they used to do so!
Math
This week, students began learning the concept of division! We started the week off by focusing on array's and area model, and ended it by going over the standard algorithm for long division. Students learned a fun song that helped them memorize the process in which they divide (Divide, Multiply, and Subtract, Bring it on Down, and Bring it on Back). Remembering all these steps can be tricky at times, so please make sure that your child is practicing this skill at home.
Next week’s math: Lesson 20/21, 22, 23/24, 25/26, 27
Next week’s vocabulary test: Math Module 3
Next week:
-New Reading Unit: Non-Fiction Reading
-New Writing Unit: Informational Writing
-New PYP Unit: How the World Works
